Wolfgang Pikal

Wolfgang Pikal (born 1967 in Vienna, Austria) is the assistant manager to Alfred Riedl of the Indonesia national football team.[1]

In his career as a football player, Pikal played for SR Donaufeld. At the age of 22, he suffered a broken ankle and decided to retire as a player.

For 10 years he did not participate in football. After meeting former coach at Perseden Denpasar Dick Buitelaar, Pikal re-engaged in football. Commencing in 1999, Pikal trained a number of clubs in Bali. He then studied coaching at top European clubs including Arsenal, Aston Villa and Ajax Amsterdam and now has a 20 certificate coaching[2], including a UEFA B License, FA License, and KNVB. In Bali Pikal handles the Academy of Real Madrid Asia junior team[3].
